Passionately Loving the World

Equipped to be Men of Prayer

Retreat for men of all ages and vocations

Jan 16-18, 2026
with Bishop Robert Finn

The retreat will begin on Friday with an 8pm Rosary and Mass. The retreat will conclude Sunday with Mass and noon lunch.

Men of all ages and walks of life are invited to attend the “Equipped to be Men of Prayer” retreat, led by Bishop Robert Finn. The retreat will include teachings from St. Josemaria Escriva, the Founder of Opus Dei. Attendees are invited to embrace this time of rest, quiet, and renewal in the presence of Christ.

The retreat aims to strengthen attendees’ intimacy with Jesus and renew their live of prayer while living in the daily life of the world.

Includes opportunities for confession, Holy Mass, silent times for prayer, adoration, and personal reflection.

Throughout the weekend, participants will be encouraged to take part in the sacraments and contemplative prayer, providing space to draw nearer to God.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House offers a sanctuary of prayer and recollection on a spacious acreage near Waverly. There are 50 single rooms, each with a private bath.

We want our retreats to be accessible to everyone, please consider an additional donation, or contact the Retreat House to inquire about financial assistance or if your parish pays part of the cost. If the retreat you’re interested in is full, contact us to be put on a waiting list. A few double rooms are available upon request. Airport transportation to/from LNK or OMA is also available upon request.

In-person at the Retreat House, retreats include meditations by the retreat master, the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation, the Liturgy of the Hours and other devotions, and opportunities for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
